Dodecal (F8-IL12)
Dodecal is an immunocytokine consisting of the vascular targeting antibody F8 fused to the heterodimeric cytokine interleukin-12 (IL12), a key regulator of the immune response to disease.
Dodecal has demonstrated an impressive ability to selectively localize to cancer sites in- vivo, potently inhibiting tumor growth. In animal models, Dodecal has displayed clear superiority compared to non-conjugated recombinant IL12, a biopharmaceutical which is currently being tested in Phase II clinical trials in the cancer and infectious disease area.
Dodecal has exhibited excellent tolerability in animal models, is currently being manufactured and will enter clinical testing in 2011.
