TENAPET
The F16 antibody, specific to the extra-domain A1 of tenascin-C, is being used in SIP format for PET immunodetection of malignancies and other serious conditions. Iodine-124 has been chosen as the preferred positron emitting radionuclide, in view of its ideal physical properties for tomographic imaging applications and of its half-life, which nicely matches the one of the antibody clearance from tissues and from circulation.

Modern PET technologies allow the detection of lesions with a diameter of a few millimeters. Tenapet may facilitate the early diagnosis of disease, the assessment of minimal residual disease and therapy planning with F16-based drugs.
