Vangiolux is a derivative of the anti-EDB human antibody L19, covalently coupled to a red photosensitizer.

This product has displayed an impressive performance for the photoablation of new blood vessels in animal models of ocular angiogenesis and of cancer.

Vangiolux will be developed for the treatment of the exhudative form of age-related macular degeneration, a high-prevalence ocular disorder which is a prime cause of legal blindness in the world.
