Duccio Neri
Co-founder, CEO and President of Philogen. He graduated in Business Administration and Economics at the “Bocconi” University in Milan, specializing in Corporate Finance. Expertise in Financial Consulting, Tax and Audit Advisor and Business Administrator. Partner of the “Studio Neri – Tanini”. Formerly in the Board of the University of Siena as a representative of the Italian Government, formerly auditor of the Cassa di Risparmio di San Miniato (CRSM) S.p.A., MPS Banca Verde S.p.A., MPS Fiduciaria S.p.A., MPS Professional S.p.A., and of several firms.
Giovanni Neri
Co-founder of Philogen. He graduated in Biology at the University of Siena in 1993. Specialized in antibody therapeutics in clinical oncology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at the Hammersmith Hospital (London), 1993-1995. He then continued his studies at the University of Siena, obtaining a Ph.D. in Biotechnology in 2000. Giovanni is the head of patenting and licensing.
Dario Neri
Co-founder and Scientific co-Director of Philogen. He graduated in Chemistry at the University of Pisa and at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, in 1987. In 1992, he obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry, from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich (ETH), receiving the ETH medal for his dissertation and, performed under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Kurt Wüthrich (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2002). After a post-doctoral position in the Lab of Sir Gregory Winter at the Cambridge Centre of Protein Engineering in Cambridge, UK, he returned to the ETH in 1996 as Assistant Professor for Molecular Structure Biology. Since 1999, he has been a Professor in Biomacromolecules in the Department of Chemistry Applied Biosciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). In 2000, Prof. Neri won the Abbott Award from the International Society of Oncodevelopmental Biology and Medicine (together with Prof. Luciano Zardi) and the 2nd prize of the 2000 Biotec Award. In 2007 he was awarded the Robert Wenner Prize of the Swiss Cancer League and in 2008 was honored the Swiss BRIDGE Award from the International Union Against Cancer (UICC). He is author of more than 170 publications in international journals.
Sergio Dompè
Studied life sciences and business administration in Milan. In 1976 he started working in his father’s company, Dompè Farmaceutici. In 1996 he obtained the “Laurea Honoris Causa” in Biotechnology from the University of Bologna and in 2005 from the University of L’Aquila, From 1998 to 2004 he was the President of Assobiotec (the Association of Italian biotech companies) and in 2005 he was appointed as the President of Farminsustria (the Association of the Italian pharmaceutical companies). He is the President of Dompè Farmaceutici spa, the Holding company of the group which includes also Dompè spa, Dompè Pharma s,.p.a, Dompè International SA, and Biogen Dompè AG.
